PARK COLLAGE
Sunday, July 7, 1–3:30 PM
Cathedral Park, St. Johns, Portland, Oregon
Create a textural and organic collage using found park materials mixed with provided collage materials. You are even invited to bring your own elements to include in a collage like personal photographs, letters, or paper materials. You’ll learn different types of collaging techniques, adhesives, and get a chance to stretch your creative muscles in an accessible and expressive medium. Leave with at least one 11x14 collage.
FORAGE + SUN PRINTS
Sunday, June 9, 1–3:30 PM
Cathedral Park, St. Johns, Portland, Oregon
Using a cyanotype sun printing technique, we will walk the park collecting natural materials and use these materials to expose paper prints to the sun. I’ll also provide additional materials like lace and netting to supplement the natural materials. Leave with 4 one of a kind bright blue 8x10 prints.

GEOMETRIC PAINT BY NUMBERS

Select a color scheme and bring to life a black and white geometric print done by Hannah. We’ll be using gouache paint and multiple brush types to achieve a clean and colorful painting. Leave with a complete 11x14” work of art completely unique to you.
BLOCK PRINT GREETING CARDS

Learn how to carve your own printmaking block, and use the block to transfer color inks onto a set of greeting cards. Leave with a set of 6 cards ready to send original art and delightful message to your loved ones, along with a printing block you can reuse.
MONOTYPE PRINTMAKING

Learn the process of creating monotype prints by applying ink to flat, plastic printing plates, manipulating the ink to form an image, and transferring the image to paper. Great for those wanting to grow their printmaking experience, or those looking to learn a new mark making technique.
2 COLOR BLOCK PRINT

Challenge yourself by planning, carving, and printing a two-color print design. We will spend extra time with designing and planning, using carving tools to create linoleum printing blocks, experimenting with combining ink colors, and printing an edition of 8x10 prints.
COLLAGE: IMAGE AND TEXTURE

Explore how to combine found imagery from photos and magazines with abstract textural elements like paper, tape, plastic, stamps, labelmaker, and paint. Bring your own images, or flip through my studio collage supply for some outside inspiration. Leave with a complete 11x14 collage.
